Such was the case recently when I was at the San Diego Zoo which is just a few miles from all of the Mission Valley condos. In addition to being a world-class Zoo, the San Diego Zoo is also a world-class botanical garden with hundreds of thousands of plants from throughout the world. The following tree peaked out at me as I rounded a corner over in the new Elephant Odyssey. What do you think it looks like? An owl? An ape? A prehistoric cave man? An alien from Area 51?

Now that I have a camera again that makes taking pictures an actual joy rather than the challenge that my point & shoot camera always provided me, I find myself looking at Mother and Father Nature and sometimes finding them playing tricks on my eyes.
