Countdown to the Expiration of the Federal First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit - Expires November 30, 2009

I love Don's post because it drives home the simple fact that this is a great opportunity and first time home buyers now have 110 days left before the tax credit expires.

I wonder how many more of these calls I will get in the next 30 days..........

As the day draws ever closer to the end of The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, we know it better as the First-Time Home Buyer Tax Credit, will we REALTORS® be getting more phone calls about buying a home?  Sitting in the office yesterday morning the phone rings and on the other end of the line was a buyer wanting to see a home.  It was not out of an absolute need, NO; it was out of a desire not to miss out on the $8,000 tax credit.  So I will be showing this pre-appr0ved couple homes this evening.  What about you?

If you want more information on the tax credit here are two links:

There is one thing that we know for certain and that is this program is scheduled to end at the stroke of midnight on November 30, 2009.  And if you are going to purchase a home and take advantage of this tax credit you need to begin to take action, just like the young couple above, and have a contract on your new home and scheduled to close on or before November 30, 2009.

Take a look, this is how much time is left until the clock reaches all zeros and the tax credit has ended.

Debbie - I like Don's post because of the countdown.  It drives home the point.  I'm guessing we are going to be flooded with showing right at the deadline.

Thank you sir for the reblog and the kind words.  Time is NOT standing still and we need to let folks know that time is coming to a close on this program.
