Students, teachers and local pastors are protesting over a court case involving a northern Florida school principal and an athletic director who are facing criminal charges and up to six months in jail over their offer of a mealtime prayer. How dare these people pray!?! I like the line that says "....the district also agreed to forbid senior class President Mary Allen from speaking at the school's May 30 graduation ceremony on the chance that the young woman, a known Christian, might say something religious." A known Christian!!!! No wonder the ACLU had to step in and stop this before riots in the streets broke out!! She may have said something like "God bless our class" or even worse "May God bless the USA!.....we should all pray for our country tonight.
Prejudice is wrong in every form and fashion. Read "The Same Kind Of Different As ME" Awesome Book! However, these students and teachers in N. Fl. are right on for protesting. The Bible says blessed is he that is persecuted for my sake. This principle, athletic director, and anyone who is persecuted because of their faith are in God's favor. I would ... rather God approve of my actions than Society and shame on Obama for NOT standing up for his so called faith. A house divided can not stand and it is just a matter of time before our house (THE USA) falls. We can not be "one nation under God" and at the same time not honor him. We are not honoring God but instead we become more and more like Sodom and Gomorrah every day.
Read your history books and name the great men and women our country has produced in it's first 115 years and then try to name the great leaders from the last 115 years. I am not saying that all of our great leaders from 1776 to 1890 were Christians or even believed in God but they lived in a country founded on Christian belief's that honored God. Now, I know what you are thinking, that I am behaving like a religious bigot. I am not saying we shouldn't have freedom of religion, I believe we should. However, we should NOT be a country that puts someone in jail for honoring God.
So bring on the negative remarks. I hope you do. I should be so honored to be persucuted for Christ sake.
