This is the house I grew up in, at 9th and Sherman, in Coeur d'Alene. Built around 1905, obviously this photo was taken before my childhhood years! The home is no longer there, but my memories of the good times in that grand old house remain intact!

Hi Janna, Terrific photo of house and car ! Looks like it is in a great part of town and owned by someone substantial ! Any idea what the make of the car is ?
Hi Bill- I didn't comment much because it was SUPPOSED to be wordless! It was a doctor's home, with a separate entrance into his office in the back of the house. I spent many happy hours sitting on that porch watching the cruisers go back and forth up Sherman. (Mom, don't read the next sentence...)When I lived there, a tree on the left side of the house had big branches that hung right outside the bedroom window under that chimney, great for sneaking friends in and out! As for the car, I wouldn't have any idea. All I know about cars is you put the key in, turn it, and go!
Janna, nice looking house. Too bad it isn't there any more. At least you still have the memories.
It's TOO BEAUTIFUL. Now, that's a house with CHARACTER and memories.
Here in Frisco, we have just the same house repeats itself every other time. Such Bummer.
Do you know what happened to the house? That might be interesting to know. The house my parents lived in when I was born burned in the October 2003 wildfires here.
Jim - The house was torn down in 1975 after having been "parted out" to antique dealers. It sat on 1/2 of a city block, and was sold for $80,000. It was razed and a Sambos restaurant was built there.
Hi Mom! Phew, glad the statute of limitations is over and you can't ground me anymore! Yes, girlfriends, for sure! ;-P
