Well our weekly "Shout-Out" comes a day early due to my Saturday morning plans. Tomorrow morning I will be in Columbus, Ohio enjoying thee festivities of the American Heart Association's Heartwalk at 7am...oh ya baby - 7am! We start with a VIP breakfast and then off to the walk. The event is large and well supported by the community.
My Sigma Alpha Tau sorority sisters from Otterbein College and I became involved in this walk last year to honor little Duncan Arthur and his short life on this earth. On June 2nd, 2007 Duncan Rann Arthur and his twin brother Jackson were born to my sorority sister Tricia and Scott Arthur. Duncan had been diagnosed before birth with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and Tricia and Scott were told that he would have to endure three major heart surgeries to have a chance at survival. He was a fighter. He made it through two of the surgeries and then took a turn for the worst in October at age 4 1/2 months and passed away from complications from his heart condition.
The countdown is now just 1 day away...and I committed to raise $2000 for our team...and I desperately need your help. What I am asking is that you make a donation AND you forward this request to all of your address books to help in this last sprint to the finish.
