Foreclosures

This week my wife and I drove to California (yes... on purpose LOL) to return our oldest grandson to his dad in San Diego.  After a day, we drove up Stockton, CA where we are now.  There are billboards along I-5 advertising auctions of foreclosed homes on specific dates.  One billboard said 300 plus homes would be auctioned off on a day in August.

Although we hear about this on the news, our city in New Mexico is insulated from most all the nation's housing woes.  We are lucky to have a decent economic stability in our community as a result of Holloman AFB.  I was really touched when I saw the first billboard announcing the auction.

Tim, every one of those billboards represents a personal tragedy.  Our government's response to the problems has ranged from ineffective to counterproductive.

I agree with Brian. It's too bad the government isn't as dedicated to solving main street problems, as it is taking control over businesses and demonizing anyone who disagrees with them.

Brian and Jon, I know what you're talking about.  The government wants control, but hasn't a clue of what it is doing!
