Bloggers Connect

Only 4 days left before prices go up! Sign up this week and your Bloggers Connect admission is only $99 ($129 after June 15th).

If you’re interested in real estate blogging, Bloggers Connect in San Francisco will help you learn from some of the best and brightest in the biz. This is also your chance to put faces to many of the names you’ve been exposed to from the Carnival of Real Estate; Dustin Luther, Ardell DellaLoggia, Drew Meyers, Brian Brady and Teresa Boardman are just some of the bloggers who will be there. This is a great chance to meet face to face and network with some of the top real estate bloggers out there today.

Also, stay tuned to the Connect SF 2007 Blog for the announcement of Bloggers Connect keynote speaker next week - a controversial figure who will surely have lots to say about real estate blogging. By Joel Burslem, Future of Real Estate Marketing

OK you can tell I didn't write this but I will be at this event, and at the Inman Connect conference that follows.  I will be on a panel at each conference.  It has been an interesting experience, because of the Minnesota thing.    The conference like Active Rain and much of the internet is dominated by all of you fine folks who live in the West and on the West Coast. I get some publicity and people don't get how that happens to someone from St. Paul. Maybe the world wide web really is global, who knows.  We get a bad rap here in fly over land.  Honest we do use technology. I even have an electric tooth brush.  I have to charge it in Minneapolis until we get electricity here in St. Paul. . . . just kidding.

I think what I am the most excited about is meeting so many of the people that I frequently come into contact with but have never had the privilege of meeting in person.  Jeff Turner has promised me a big hug and I plan to collect, but only if he loses the 20 pounds and gets back to his fighting weight.

The gents from Sellsius will be there with their magic bus.  I will meet Jim Cronin of the Real Estate Tomato in person for the first time and of course the folks here with Active Rain Inc.  Larry Cragun from the Undressed network will also attend.  He has written guest posts on the St. Paul Real Estate Blog, I just hope he leaves the spider at home.

There are so  many others that I would like to meet, but I won't unless they buy tickets.  Inman news made me, and I do mean made me submit a recent photo.  It took them two months to get it from me. I post it here in the hope that we will all recognize each other at the conference.  My other option would be to attend with half of my face covered and I am still considering it but I don't think they will give me my picture back.

Some of you have questioned the value of a real estate blog. I can say mine has enriched my life in many ways, most importantly it has introduced me to some amazing people, like you.  Blogs are social right?  You sit on the fence trying to decide if you should start one. The beauty of the blog is that anyone can do it. I am not a writer or a photographer, or an SEO expert but a real estate professional just like you.  Please give it a try.

Thanks for sharing this, Teresa. I like the the new pic even though you submitted it under duress. I have been told by multiple folks I need to get a new one (I HATE having my pic taken), and when people meet me they tell me I look so much THERE is a compliment...but can it really be true? Personally I hope you cover half your face - it would be a novel way to gain PR! :) Or maybe just hold up a piece of paper all day.

Hope to be there but not sure yet, even if I have to pay more.

I'd love to meet you in person, T... and the event sounds very worthwhile, but I won't be able to attend this one.  Maybe someday they'll hold it the week before/after the NAR convention.  I think they'd get more attendees then.

Sounds like a great event to be able to attend.  I'd still take that hug from Jeff regardless of whether or not he loses the 20 pounds.  See if he loses 20 pounds, I might find it and I surely do not need to do that!  (lol)  Hummm, I'd love to go, just don't know if I can swing that at this time.

Great sense of humor Teresa!  My company has a presence in MN and I actually enjoy traveling there...when it's not 40 below, that is!  ;-)

Jason - it is almost 90 right now.  head on over.

Cynthia - I am not sure I would turn down a turner hug either but I have to hold his feet to the fire.  he wants to lose 20 pounds.

I knew that first bit wasn't your original content.  It just wasn't your style!  Too bad it wasn't the post that puts you over 100,000 points, huh?  Hope you have fun holding that paper up all day!

And I had patched the other side of your face together to make a composite.  This works much better.  Rudy & I will see you in St. Paul before we all connect again in SF.

Is the $99 just for that event?  We just had an AR event in Long Beach that I wasn't able to attend, but I believe that was free.  Is Bloggers Connect seperate from AR or a segment of AR?

Just curious how it is different?

I think everyone knows our faces, it's our full bod shots that surprise them.  Kevin just saw mine on my Summer Solstice Parade post, and said it was NOT what he expected, at all.
