(not so) Speechless Sunday...

I passion for gardening is almost equal to my passion for photography. Talk about a mind escape... There is something to be said about the therapeutic benefits of working in the dirt.

But how about water? Talk about added benefits. I enjoy working in my ponds almost more than I do my garden beds. Much cooler on these hot summer days! And, I can even reach out an pet one of my Koi...

white water lillies
Although land borne plants and flowers are beautiful, most pale in comparison to some of their water borne cousins...

Have a Great relaxing Sunday, Y'all... ;-)

Great Water lily! Love them and the color of that one is beautiful. We have some retention ponds by the interstate here that are literally covered with these (about 1/2 acre in size) and when in bloom are breathtaking. Thanks for sharing and love the koi as well. Showed a house with a koi pond last year and they had underwater cameras in the pond, hooked up to the TV (big flat screen) and you could sit and watch the koi from the living room. It was worth the price of the house! Bet you could hook something up like that!

Michael, isn't that beautiful! And I bet it helps to be working in the water in this heat, for sure!

Hammock 1 I have never thought about doing a water garden but it seems as though it might be easier than diggin in the dirt.  Could be I have just gotten a little lazy in my old age......

I am not much of a gardener and would much rather spend my time in the water... especially during the summer in Texas. I provide much kudos to you on the photos. Many have been quite beautiful.

Hi Michael, nice water gardening! I've been wanting a water garden but actually I'd rather have a water garden AND a Cowboy to tend to it! Love the night bloomers. Glad you can pet your koi. ;-)

Wow... I do not have a green thumb (is that called a blue thumb because of the water? Clueless immigrant).  I admire those who do.  That is wonderful. Koi fish are said to be the symbol of prosperity. Nature sure makes us prosper!

Keep sharing these marvelous pictures! Thank you!
