Remembering Karen George ...... one year later

Although  Karen George and I never physically met, we connected.     Its hard to believe its already been a year since Karen lost her fight with breast cancer. 

For those of you that knew Karen on or off line, please reach out to her husband Micheal and I am sure today is a very hard day for him.

Karen was a very special person.  Her willingness to share, not only her professional knowledge but her personal struggles, was humbling to all of us.  She is missed daily here in the Rain.  And to Michael ... Remain proud of your wife.  She was a very special lady.

Hi Dez - what a nice tribute to Karen and Michael this is.  No doubt this is a hard day for him.  The one year mark for me of Bear's not being here was really hard for me. 

People say to not mark the day he was gone but rather his birthday.  You can't always control what your mind and your heart does, no matter what others say.  The kindnesses of others, the love shared, and the thoughts and sentiments of so many others helped that one year mark be a little more tolerable.  Hopefully this post of yours, and the thoughts and prayers of so many will help Michael's day today be a little easier to get through.

You're very special for doing this post for them - Michael and Karen.

Cancer is a big subject in my life having survived 3 bouts of the "d___n" disease.  Karen was a remarkably bright person in our real estate life.  I have no doubt she will be organizing clouds for us to sell when we get there.  My deepest sympathy to her family and may they know how much her spirit remains with all of us.

Dez - I remember talking to you over the phone when this happened.  I didn't know her either and never met or even spoke with her.  Even still, I was damn shook up.  Nice tribute to one of this communities finest.  She is certainly missed.
