Hello everyone! This is my first blog entry on Active Rain, which I have been introduced to recently by Mike Jones here at Sunstreet Mortgage. Thanks Mike!
To introduce myself a little bit - I moved here to Tucson (Vail actually) a little over a year ago to get married to my wonderful wife Michelle Mann, who is a realtor here in Tucson, bringing to an end a three year period of ultra long-distance dating from London, where I was also heavily involved in real estate. Originally from Aberdeen, Scotland,
I ended up in Arizona via a number of countries, including living for a number of years in Indonesia and Japan. It is great to finally be settling down somewhere and building a permanent life. As well as originating loans, my interests include martial arts (Bujinkan under Sensei Maasaki Hatsumi in Japan, the scariest 75 year old man you will ever meet) and riding motorcycles.
One of the best things about Tucson in my opinion is the weather - yes it can be brutally hot by 8am this time of year, but where else in the world can I ride 365 days per year?? On that subject - if you haven't been up Mount Lemmon early in the morning recently, I highly recommend it. I was up there at 7am last Saturday and it was stunning - nice and cool and amazing crisp light. Here is a couple of shots I took up there:
Anyhoo, I will look forward to getting to know others in the active rain community. And of course, if anyone you know needs a loan officer here in Arizona, please consider putting them in touch with me. I would be delighted to help.
