Julianne Buzzelli, 16, left, and Alexis "Lexi" Bailey, 15, have been missing since Friday night. (Courtesy Photo)

Both Temecula Preparatory School students, were at Alexis' home Friday before they apparently left the home just before midnight. They have not been heard from since.

The parents say the girls would not have "run away", yet authorities believe they have.

My opinion is that teens do sneak out occasionally because they may want to go somewhere that the parents don't want them to go.  I did this myself when I was a teenager.

My boys have done this before but they do come back relatively soon hoping to get in before I would find out.

So initially, they may have gone out to meet friends without their parents knowledge, (which is technically running away), but now that they have been gone since Friday night parents, friends and our whole community are terribly worried that something else that the girls were not planning on could have happened.

Please look at their pictures and if you see either of these girls or have any information about them Contact authorities below:

Hi Jane.....I will be praying for the safe return of these girls to their families.  I will also pray for their families, how terrifying not knowing where these girls are and if they left of the own free will.

Jane - I actually got a tweet about this today while I was working in the afternoon.  This is sad, and I will pray also, and thanks for posting about it here.  I read an article today about how Facebook was also used recently to help find a missing person, so hopefully whoever is running their search and rescue will put up a Facebook page too.

I heard the girls were found today in Vegas.  Is this true?  I'm searching the internet and cannot confirm if this is true or not.

April:  Yes, thankfully they have been found...Here's the link as I am sure you found yourself, by now.  I guess the news was slow to be verified.  ...hope they get some counseling, so they don't do it again.

This is a parent's worse nightmare (when they go missing) but I am truly happy they were found and returned to their homes!

It always seems to be the prep school students that go missing, and I suspect it is because they are in an exploratory mood and want to do something without being grilled by the parents. Glad they are both safe.
