The health of and the activity/sales of Real Estate: Has led us into and out of every major recession in the US since the great depression! For all the politics and posturing to spend money we do not have,only by taking from Taxpayers- they have failed to jumpstart Housing and all other ancillary business that feed and depend on housing to grow and be productive. on the National news July New homesales up over 9% is a step in that direction. Hopefully soon credit markets and radical value re-adjustments will level off so that The markets can move again! Un-employment stats do not reflect Independent contractors and Self employed professionals as most RE pros are. It has to move soon!

Tommy, you are right, housing is the key.
But, not sure the folks in Washington understand this.
We don't spend our way out of a recession or depression, we lower the taxes so business can hire, and more jobs are created.
