If I read the above post title, I'd be trying to figure out what sort of metaphor the post author was reaching for.  Well, in this case, what you see is what you get.  A buddy sent the you tube video below and I must pass it along.  Who knew that monkeys were smarter than humans?

Just a little fun on a Monday with an expected high of 115 here in Phoenix. Anyone else have any tips or tricks for every day, mundane takss?

Also, you don't get all those little stringy things, if you peel it the way monkeys do  (I hate bananas, but someone told me this years ago ... maybe after watching a monkey do it). :)

Sylvie (#7) hit on the biggest benefit (to me) is that none of those little monkey-strings (thats what we always called them) are on the banana -- they stay with the peel.

My 80+ yr old mom and dad are in a retirement home and I was visiting and she saw me peel a banana and was amazed "...what the heck did you just do?" So I explained about the little monkey-strings staying in the peel and she was THRILLED.  She couldn't wait to get down to breakfast the next morning to show everybody how to peel a banana ... too funny ... and then she called me and told me all about it.  LOL

Lee & Carol-Surprise Surprise!  LOL

Sylvie-I wish I knew this years ago!

Tom-You'd think we would have noticed sooner!

My daughter taught me the right way to peel a banana about 2 months ago.  I guess she proved that she is smarter than her mom! (at least when it comes to peeling bananas)
