One evening, after a rain shower passed through, I saw this gorgeous rainbow just behind my neighbor's house, not far from Sedalia, Colorado.
It looks like the rainbow is going right down their chimney - I need to get in there to see if that "pot of gold" is really there! :-)
I used Nik software's Color Efex Pro, Low Key filter to enhance this image and give it that dramatic look.

Mike, wow, wow and wow. Between this and the photo of the great room you just put up the other day, all I can say is wow. I just need to get Photoshop and this product and learn how the heck to do this. I just took shots of the Thimble Islands, and I am sitting here thinking how beautiful they could be. Wow. If I could be just an eighth as good as you are.. heck, I would settle for a sixteenth...

Andrea - You are always way too kind with your comments, but thank you. I would highly recommend Photoshop Elements - it does almost everything the full version will for a fraction of the cost - then, you'll have extra money for Photomatix Pro, the HDR software. Actually, I use Adobe Lightroom which is about half-way between Photoshop and Elements in price and has been designed for photographers from the ground up. Call or email if you'd like to discuss any of these programs.

Mike - I have seen some spectacular rainbows in my life, but I suspect that is the biggest and brightest one ever.
Mike - Thank you - my neighbor (that is their house) just ordered a canvas gallery wrap print so we'll see how it looks.
Myrl, it was amazing! It was big and bright, it was a double (doesn't show in this image) and for several minutes it was the full half-circle - my lens just couldn't get it all! :-)
