The Bell's Vireo may have something in common with some folks. The people that do not drink water.
I have never understood how anyone could drink just sweet drinks like colas, etc and not drink water... well, the Bell’s Vireo has never been observed drinking water. It’s food may supply all of the water that it needs!
I have been learning about the birds that occupy Oklahoma. This little fellow is small and not very noticable...I don't know that I would recognize him if I saw him.
They are usually found in dense vegetation along riparian areas. They are "insectivorous"...that was a big word meaning they eat insects!
They don't have any distinctive marking to help identify them and their colors is drab... but they have a song in thier heart! Now there's a lesson for all of us.
Another interesting thing about them is that the farther east they are found in the United States, the more yellow they are. As you go west, they get progressively grayer.
