Please support our local community and step out September 7th for a memorable evening with your partner that will give hope to so many children this holiday season! We are all well aware of the state in which our current economy will affect those in need. Let's start early thinking about the dreams of our communities families and end 2009 with a joyous holiday season that will warm the hearts of all parents strugling to encourage our children of the future!

I have four children and life wasn't always so easy for me. There were times when I felt lost and alone in the world and had no idea how I was going to put a holiday dinner on the table let alone widen the eyes and hearts of the 8 eyes looking to me for hope. I know the inner feelings of despair all to well but I was given hope by the community when caring people like yourselves came to my rescue. For me it was in the form of a food box! Nothing fancy, nothing elaborate! It was a plain old cardboard box with a variety of foods to create a Thanksgiving Dinner I will never forget. What that one box did in my life was warm a heart that was becoming hard and sad and gave me faith in people that I have never forgotten. In a world of war, crime and theft I was shone there is also peace and love that will span further than one could ever imagine. I highly doubt the gentleman that dropped that box off to me that day will ever know he is thought of often and will never be forgotten, that he changed my life that day and that he made me realize how one small act of kindness can expand and travel, that he made a difference!

Thanks Kathleen,

It's a great event! I worked one of the wine tables two years ago and they had a great turnout. It's realy a nice evening out! When I worked for Amazing Furniture in Taftville the owner Elain Malchman donated a beautiful piece of furniture for the silent action.

It's great to see a community come together for a good cause!
