If you love living in a small town, then this Greenlawn colonial might be just perfect for you.  It has an open floorplan feel and offers a granite kitchen with a commercial style stove/oven combination, a dining room, and a living room that flows into a lovely family room with a working fireplace and sliders that open to a great backyard.  Upstairs you'll find 3 bedrooms.  The home has one full bath and one half bath.

Outside, the .25 acre parcel offers a large deck that's ideal for backyard entertaining, lots of grassy space, a small vegetable garden, and a great inground pool.

The home is offered at $494,000

Greenlawn was originally known as Old Fields until the late 1800s.  During the 19th century it was well known for its pickle production and, to a lesser degree, its potato and cabbage farm.  In fact, the Greenlawn-Centerport Historical Society holds its very popular Pickle Festival every year in September.  The Historical Society also hosts a very respected Antique Show annually with over 65 fine antique dealers from all over.

Greenlawn is also well known for its terrrific parks.  In fact, Greenlawn Memorial Park, which is nearby to this home, is host to the Tri-Village Little League.  There are numerous baseball fields at this great park as well as a super skateboard park.  Other parks offer great playground areas, barbecue facilities an much more.

This home is located within the Harborfields School District #6 and it is very neaer the Harborfields Public Library, known not only for it's adult collections and resources, but also for it's fabulous children's department.

Greenlawn may be small, but it offers some very nice shopping and great restaurants.  If you need even more variety, the neighboring villages of Huntington, Northport and East Northport are only about 5 minutes away.  Also nearby are some great local beaches in Centerport, Huntington and Northport.  Ocean beaches at Robert Moses State Park are just 35 minutes away and Jones Beach is just a 45 minute drive.  A drive to the Hamptons is only slightly more than an hour's drive.  If you prefer all that Manhatten has to offer, it is also about an hour's drive to midtown and approximately 70 minutes by the Long Island Railroad.
