If you read my blog a couple of posts back, you will see an article. Actually what it is, is the first chapter in a book I am writing with the idea of helping the consumer to avoid getting ripped off by really bad agents.
It is a protection book on buying and selling homes. In my classes I teach at various colleges and my work as an expert witness in litigation cases, it is amazing to me how little the public knows about how to find a good agent and the red flags that should alert them to bad agents ...... and unfortunately, we have too many. My whole thrust is to have buyers and sellers learn how to spot the integrious and competent agents, and there are many of those.
Here's how you can help. As I teach a principal in the book, I would like to give an example of a buyer or seller who was damaged because their agent failed to point out the issue or give them good advice on how to avoid the problem. For example, failing to mention "investigating permit issues' when showing a totally remodeled house, or not helping the seller understand what "full disclosure" means when they are preparing their disclosure documents. And, I would love to give examples from all over the United States since my limited exposure is simply California. This is where you come in.
Read my prior post, which is the introduction to the book. It give several real world examples of people who were reallyhurt because their agent failed them in some way.
