Not-So-Speechless Sunday: Beautiful Views of Missoula Lake in Mineral County Montana

Missoula Lake in Mineral County Montana

Mineral County has 42 Pristine Mountain Lakes, including Missoula Lake which is located approximately 30 miles up Cedar Creek Road from Superior near the Montana / Idaho border.

87% of Mineral County is publicly-owned (U.S. Forest Service, State) so we have thousands of miles of amazing wilderness!

Clean Mountain Water

The water is so crisp and clean you can see almost the entire bottom of the lake, and all of the fish swimming in it!

From the State Line Trail Looking Into Idaho

View from the State Line Trail above Missoula Lake. This is looking into Idaho. You can see that there is some smoke in the air from nearby forest fires.

You photos are wonderful. It would be interesting to see the same photos in each of the 4 seasons to make a contrast and show how pretty it is there all year around

Well, I didn't think there could be a more beautiful place to live other than Murphy, NC - but I could be wrong. Montana, and Missoula is certainly a place we want to vacation and explore. Thanks for sharing your beautiful scenery with us.

Thanks Gabriel.

Hi Charlie - that would be a good idea, it's a little difficult to get to this location in the winter unless you use a snowmobile, but I could find some other locations :)

Lee & Carol - thank you for your comments, I've never been to North Carolina either but would love to see it.

Beautiful photos.  Amazing that 87% is publicly owned.

Thank you for all of your comments, Debra - I agree, it's amazing that so much of this county is publicly owned. It will really limit the amount of future development, keeping this area much as it is today, lots of timber and wildlife.

Kevin and Monica,

Beautiful shot. I'll have to look for that on my next trip to the area. :)
