I recently attended Keller Williams Annual Mega Agent conference in Austin Texas and like every year before I came away with pages of notes, aha's and action items. Education and culture are two of the reasons I joined Keller Williams in 2002 and remain an advocate today. Part of our culture is bringing in guest speakers like Nick Vujicic. When I first read the agenda for this years conference and saw that we were going to have Nick as a guest speaker I was excited because I had heard Zig Zigler speak about him and was excited to hear his story. What came next was a surprise.
I saw this man on stage in front of 6,000 plus motivated on fire Keller Williams agents. this man who stands maybe 3 feet tall with no arms and legs, It was immediately obvious to me though that this man is giant among men. I can honestly say that if I were Nick, I would be angry, angry at God. However, Nick chose to give his life over to God and use his disability to serve. Here is what I learned from Nick Vujicic:
1. I can either be angry for what I don't have or be grateful for what I do have..
2. Obstacles = Opportunities.
3. When we find the why (our goal or mission) the how comes.
4. The unknown = Exciting.
5. God has a purpose for all of us.
6. Attitude is Altitude.
7. Fear is paralyzing and Faith (in God) will set you free to do the impossible.
8. Anyone can live A Life Without Limits.
9.Victory is when your heart changes.
10. Everyone falls down. Sometimes you don't feel like you can get back up but you can. Find the strength to FINISH STRONG and NEVER GIVE UP!
