Great Kills
Located on New York's, Staten Island South Shore neighborhood. According to the Wikipedia Kills is an old Dutch word with various translations including "creek and channel" and many creeks dot this neighborhood. At the Southeastern corner of the neighborhood you can find Gateway National Recreation Area formerly known as Great Kills Park. The park has excellent walking paths and nature trails, boat docks and fishing piers and beach and concession. The area is vast with views of the Harbor and grassy areas and trees.
