Clouds Rise from the Ground?

Services for Real Estate Pros with Second Self Virtual Assistance

Clouds rise from the ground?  I always thought they were created in the skies above us.  However, this guy seemed to rise up from the ground in a sort of mushroom formation.  It was so big, I couldn't get a vantage point that would allow me to capture the whole thing in my lens.  But, it was too amazing a formation to pass up a photo op.

That's OK, Tim.  I don't know why you'd want to use them either.  But, we have to put the disclaimer on it.  Even to let people know it's OK to use them if they want.  :)  Thanks for stopping by.

Odd formation.  I wonder what causes clouds to form like that.  Thanks for such a cool picture.

That's what caught my eye, Lou.

Well, there were monsoons out to the east of us, Irene.  That's about the only thing I could think it might be.  I wish I could have gotten a photo of the entire thing.  It was so unusual.

If I lived in Vegas, Bob, I would worry that they were still testing those atomic bombs.  But, I don't.  Maybe I should still be worried, though.  Hmmm...

Heather,

That looks like early morning mist forming to me.

I prefer the mountins on these pics... the clouds are unique but what a nice view you have!

That might work, Terry, if it wasn't actually at sunset.  And the clouds look too "heavy" to be morning mist, in my opinion.

Thanks, Toula

We're at the bottom of the foothills area, Caron, overlooking the valley below (thus, Moreno Valley).

Heather,

If it weren't for the beautiful colors, the shape of this cloud would be a little scary!

Heather - Your cloud photo is certainly very different than the usual cloud formations we see.

That's exactly what I thought, Judy.  Also, if I lived in Nevada, I'd be a little worried seeing a cloud like this.  Flashbacks to a time way before me. :)

It definitely caught my attention, Marc.

Heather - What a really cool shot.  It looks like those shots in the movies after they've dropped a bomb.
