Bobcat on a Cool Pool Cage Roof?

Real Estate Agent with Gulf Shores Realty DRE# SL661376

Yes, this morning my wife and I saw a scruffy, blackish BOBCAT dart across our Pool Cage, in a well-developed and established neighborhood. Oh sure!  You would rather believe a Florida Panther, eh?

Bobcat in Pursuit

Have you ever seen a frightened squirrel?  Yes you have, in front of your car just before you think you are going to run over it, right?  Put a Bobcat in pursuit and you have REAL fright!

How Strong is the Cage Fabric?

Fortunately, I had re-screened the cage last year or we may have witnessed a very WET Bobcat and a CHEERING Squirrel!

Who Won the Chase Across the Cage?

Yea, the little guy won and when the big predator went one way as we opened the door, the frightened prey went the other way and up, way up, the nearby Norfolk Island Pine!  Had Jack's Bean Stalk been around the little one would still be climbing, oh yes!

What Does This Have to Do With Real Estate?

I'll leave that to those that comment.  Surely our creative bloggers will post a comment tying this tale to Short Sales, REO's, Newbies, Commissions, or what not!  I can hardly wait for the responses!  Thanks; Let's have some fun on this Labor Day!

{I also am using this fun blog post as a trial on using html and the command to highlight Subtitles, use short paragraphs and issue a call to action in the last.  All good Google Juice tactics I have read in AR.}

Deana Luedtke has seen may wild cats near her home.  I am wondering if they are harmful?  We have small children and small dogs.  Deana luedtke has seen them with and without tails.  What is the differance?  Panther,bobcat,cougar???  Should I be afraid?
Thanks Deana Luedtke

Hi Deana,  Cougars and Panthers are essentially the same and rare in a neighborhood.  We had a pair come to Plantation Golf & CC a year ago, stayed a couple weeks, ate a bunch of rabbits and left.  No threats to humankind!

Bobcats are about 20# tall cats with only a stub for a tail.  They too hang around for dinner on rabbits and squirrels.  Humans should not attempt to harass any of the wild ones, and they basically have other animals in mind (the prey!)

The squirrel of our scene lived to tell another harrowing story to its family!

Thanks for commenting: I hope I have been of some help.  Google "{anther" and "Bobcat" for a ton of info and pictures!
