Mother Lode Real Estate "Must Reads" for September

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Real Living Sugar Pine Realty

This blog post is the next in a continuing monthly series where I'll pass on some information of interest that you may not get the opportunity to see otherwise. (There are links to the other ten posts in this series at the end of this one.) It won't take you long to check out the three articles plus one video covering real estate and social media use in business.

10 Things You Don't Want Homeowners To Say To You from the Real Estate Marketing Blog. This is a fun one that will get you to thinking about those things you may have heard from homeowners yourself that probably weren't selling points for their property. (I like #8: "Michael Jackson was born here" comment.)

Don't get caught watching the real estate scoreboard by Daniel Rothamel. Known as the "real estate zebra" Daniel is a realtor, Inman News social media guru and basketball referee in real life (among other things I'm sure). In this post Daniel talks about how it's not about the scoreboard in real estate. It's about working hard whether you find yourself ahead or behind. A good read.

Social Networking - Cutting Your Own Grass by Jeff Turner. There are so many voices out there telling you how and how not to use social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc) in your business approach. Jeff does a wonderful job of emphasizing the importance of you developing your own personal strategy versus adopting someone else's. From the recent REBarcamp in Denver. Video is about 12 minutes. Well worth your time.
