Here are a few tips on Staging Your Home to Sell if you are on a budget. Even a few little things can make your home look sharper.
Make sure all your light bulbs are working. Use higher watt bulbs to make your rooms look bright and sunny.
Empty out your closet. Pack away extra clothes and shoes. Make that closet look bigger and neater.
In the bathroom get some new plush towels that go with the color of the bathroom. Don't use them just have them there for showings. Make sure the shower curtain is new or newer and that the bathroom accesories match. Make sure the tub is sparkling clean and that the grout looks in perfect shape. Wipe off faucets before each showing to make them sparkle.
Make sure there are no personal photos anywhere and if you don't have any pictures on the walls, add some pictures with nature scapes to brighten up the walls. Don't go over board less is better.
My pet peeve, make sure the toilet seats are all down.
Close all closet doors and open the blinds and curtains. Let the sun in. A home looks so much more appealing with lots of light. If a room is dark be sure to have the lights on when a buyer is coming to visit.
Make sure the entrance to your home looks attractive. It is the buyer's first impression of your home. A nice wreath on the front door can catch their attention as well.
