YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

I hope God doesn't strike me down for using CNN as a source, but in my own defense, it does state that the article comes from the editors of Money Magazine, if that's any better. But so what about the source, this is extremely positive news about Southwest Florida, so I'm going with it.

Here it is, entitled;

25 Best Places To Retire

Thinking about your post-work home? You'll get huge bang for your buck-plus lots of other perks-in these towns.

So whose mentioned first in the article? A little hint-look up to the top of the page.

PORT CHARLOTTE, FLORIDA!!!!!

So what's so good?

A controlled population, about 48,000, with about 44% over 50.

Reasonable prices, with a typical 3 bedroom going for $170,000.

Lots of water, about 40% of the properties are on canals and waterways leading to the harbor,

and the harbor is very beeeeeautiful!!!

That means boating and fishing galore!

Other amenities mentioned include a Culteral Center with a 500 seat Theatre, with year round classes in everything from Japanese embroidery to belly dancing. Also there's the 42,000 acre Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park with bird watching, hiking, and kayaking.

And something we take for granted in Florida, are you New Yorkers listening,

No state Income tax!

So come on down, the weathers faaaaaaaaantastic, and the waters warm.
