Yes, this actually happened in my office, which of course will remain nameless. This was one of my earlier places I hung the license. This broker was a loose cannon to say the least, and after the cops came to get both sides of the story, what a mess.
From what I recall, no one was arrested, but punches were thrown, obscenities were screamed and luckily, I wasn't one of the agents who had a client in the office when it all went down. I would have probably left to a new office shortly thereafter as a few agents did.
So who has a less than balanced broker and how do you deal with it? I made sure I was always hustling and producing, so luckily my broker liked me and pretty much left me alone. What do you do when you feel you can't go to your broker about issues you may be having because he or she might lose it on you? I guess move to a new office huh?
