Every year just like clockwork here it comes. It's time for another birthday. For me it's also a time for reflection and I'd like to share a few thoughts.
On Friday I'll be 75, oops there's that dyslexia thing, I'll really only be 57. As you get older you're allowed to make more oops'.
I use to think, oh no! another birthday, but then about 2 years ago I went shopping at BJ's and decided to have a heart attack. Forty days, and 3 stents later, I was very happy to walk out and see the light of day. If you've lived through such an experience, one way or another, it changes the way that you see things. Oh Yes, thank you Lord for another birthday! May I have another one next year, please.
The day itself effects people in different ways;

It use to be just an emergency phone call, but now it is the anniversary of a national disaster. I received some photos of the event with the comment that we must not forget what happened.
It is impossible to do so!
My prayers are with all those who lost family and loved ones in that tragedy, especially the children!
On the business front;
Having started in the lending business back around 1978, I've seen a lot. I certainly have a plethera of experience, and a ton of great stories, some joyous, some sad. Something else though that's very interesting;
I still LOVE what I do!!!!!
I'm in Southwest Florida and we've been kicked around a bit, but we're keeping or heads above the clouds, we just keep on keepin on.
