I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the 2009 JCAR Inaugural Event held last night at Solterra in Lakewood, CO. What a beautriful site for a terrific event. At least 100 people attended the installation of new officers and board as well as the special awards to outstanding service by members of the Jefferson County Association of Realtors.
The evening was perfect with late day sunlight that highlighted the foothills and hogbacks to the west. Lovely background music was provided by Bill Hastings on his keyboard. The theme was Survive to Thrive and each guest received a colorful bandana to represent their team....
The evening provided a great opportunity for us to network and simply enjoy each other's company. Kudos to Cindy Goins of JCAR for all of her work in putting this together supported by Rita, JoAnne, and Susan of JCAR.
Kay Watson installed the officers and board of directors:
Our new Chair is Mike Welk of Your Castle Real Estate and the new Chair-Elect is Robin Lucy, also of Your Castle Real Estate.
Special Awards were given to
Kathy Capra Bowles - Realtor of the Year; Jim Erpelding and Merry Whyman - Chairman's Awards; and Melissa Walker, Heritate Title as Affiliate of the Year.
We, at JCAR, have a great leadership team and we look forward to 2010.
