I've had a sort of sadness sitting on me all day today as I looked at the calendar and remembered...
I think the sadness of the day it happened was for shock, loss of life, all the evil we saw that day...
the sadness today is for where our Nation is, 9 years after this brutal attack.

Never in my wildest imagination would I ever forget this. On that day my 2nd son called and said "Dad! What is happening!!?" I said we are being attacked! I just wanted to go to the nearest recruiting station and reenlist. Was told I was too old [almost 60 then].
Please never forget. There is a monument that is going to be built in Shanksville for Fight 93. I think you may find the article on American Legion Online.

That is one Day that any american that was in their right mind will never forget, I was 17 that year, and I still remember EVERY detail of that day just like it was yesterda, I can't believe it has been 9 years, the world changed that day.
