Credit Card Scam- reflecting poorly on Real Estate Agents

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Partners

Just when I thought I'd seen or heard just about everything?  I received a call today from a gentleman stating that I had charged his credit card and he wanted to know why.  I was taken aback because I don't "take credit."  So my mind is reeling and I have a bunch of questions trying to piece this together.  He tells me his credit card was billed $39.95 and the vendor was RE Web Access.  He is a real estate investor so at first he thought it could have been one of his charges.  So he called the 800 number to inquire further and guess what he gets?  My 24 hr info line for my listings.  So we talk and he realizes he definitely needs to call his credit card company and dispute these charges.  What in the world is the world coming to???

Not yet- he was kind enough to agree to send me a copy of his statement so I could try to look into it further.  Seems he discovered the charge from me for 3 months and then they changed to someone else the past two months.  Scary.

You know, the world is going to hell in a hand cart as my mother would say.  Sorry folks, gotta tell it like it is.  Most of the world is great, but there are just a few out there, who are takers and not givers.  Every day we hear of a new scam.  This one is quite disturbing, as they are obviously smart enough to tap into our websites.  Thanks for the heads up
