Although technically a desert region, the Columbia river is the dominant geographic feature. With three rivers converging, ( the Columbia, the Yakima and the Snake) the area allows for wonderfull water recreation. Three resturaunts have docks you can pull into and enjoy a fine meal, and there are two public docks with motels and restaraunts just a short walk away. Boaters enjoy fishing, skiing and site seeing as well as just plain ol relaxing.

With over 300 days of sunshine a year and very affordable housing and a strong economy this is a great place to call home.

Craig - Nice post.  You make it sound like a great place to live!  Missed your call yesterday while helping a Lockup at the Space Needle for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  We raised over $70,000!!!  Anyhow, it was a huge event.  Trying to get caught up on business today, then going to visit Desert Air tomorrow...closer to your neck of the woods.

Great post!

Great shot!  We're hoping to take a last minute summer road trip before school starts back up.  We always go out of our way for photo subjects like this one.
