Downtown Escondido's Certified Farmers Market showcases fresh-picked California-grown fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Friendly vendors also offer local honey, eggs, fresh-roasted nuts, pesto, fresh pasta, gourmet European breads, Julian pies, salsa, tamales, tortillas, cookies, dessert breads, and more. Located in the center of historic downtown Escondido, the Farmer's Market operates every Tuesday, year-round from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (May 1-September 30) and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (October 1-April 30). If you have a hankering for organiz fresh veggies, Egyptian food, or perhaps an Italian ice cream, just take a stroll down Grand Avenue on a Tuesday afternoon! Yummy! I love a Farmer's Market. Will be visiting the area from Florida in about 6 weeks. I'll keep it on my list. Thanks for the information...........it's not always about real estate, sometimes it's about relaxation.

One of the things I miss about SoCal--and love when I visit--is the big organic grocery stores and farmer's markets. We have good stuff in AZ too but there is NOTHING like a SoCalie outdoor market! :)
Melissa, I didn't realize you are in Esco till yesterday. I have clients and family there so I will remember you are there too! :)

Hi Melissa, I love farmer's markets, and those tomatoes in your photo are making me hungry! So nice to have all those fresh veggies throughout the summer, and fall harvests!
