I have just finished watching a great story on dvd, The Pursuit of happiness. It ts a true story of a man who lives a humble life with his wife and child. Though hard working, it isn't until he finds his life spiraling into desparation that he finds true hope in a a future that appears to be an impossibility. His passionate love for his son is his drivng force that gets him to bet the odds in obtaining success. A true American rags to riches dream story.

We just watched that last week and it was great. What perseverance he had. If you noticed at the end of the movie when he's walking with his son talking about the planets and a well dressed man walks by them and Will Smith turns back and looks at him - that was the actual person the movie was about.

Oh, that movie is on my "To Watch" list! Especially after seeing another superb Will Smith movie "Seven Pounds" a few weeks ago. Lee & Carol, thanks for the heads up on the end scene...it's just like how Erin Brockovich made a cameo appearance in her own movie as the waitress! :)
