A Quick Tip on Staging the Exterior of Your Home

Paint your front door! Be sure to use a neutral color. I have driven down the street and seen a bright orange door, a purple door and a screaming red door. While you might love these colors, do not use them when selling your home. Also put a eye catching wreath on your door. Make sure it is seasonal. A Christmas wreath will not attract positive attention in June. Put a couple of pots of flowers by the door as well. Mums looks especially nice this time of year. I have seen some huge pots of mums at the store and they look so good I want to buy one and bring it home. Sometimes it is the little things that attract buyers to your home!

I mentioned this before but make sure the trim on the exterior of your home is in good shape and doesn't need painting. That is a sure sign to buyers that you are taking good care of the maintenance of your home.

Susan - Yes, the exterior is critical.  Sellers have to attract buyers into their home.  And the lawn should be neatly trimmed and attractive.
