This Spring I started riding my husband's Harley with him and I am very nervous when we have to cross a bridge. It really scares me. One other place I hate, is tunnels...hate being in tunnels.

Kathy - Gorgeous bridge! I'd drive over it in a minute. However, yesterday I drove a portion of highway 80 out of Reno that is going through a tremendous amount of renovation (finally some of those stimulous dollars at work). . .They had moved portable concrete walls onto lanes to keep traffic flowing. They left the lanes so narrow, there was no margin for error. . .I was in terror while driving that stretch of road.

Doug and Gloria- That is the Royal Gorge Bridge in the Royal Gorge Park outside Canon City, Co. and the bridge is the highest suspension bridge in the world. We went over it and eventually I was able to look out the window.
Tom- I've driven over the Delaware Memorial Bridge twice and held my breath the whole way.
Sharon- You're one up on me just getting on a Harley. I'm not crazy about tunnels either, especially the ones that go under water.
Rita-Glad you liked it. Did it once; that's enough for me!

Kathleen- It's in the Royal Gorge Park outside Canon City, Co., just west of Pueblo CO. I didn't realize we were going to drive over it until my husband just started going towards it. You could have heard my screams 100 miles away!
Konnie-Did you know that some of the bridges actually have car services where you can arrange to have someone drive your car over big bridges for you?? I like being on Terra Firma.

That looks like the Royal Gorge. The first time I was there was as a young boy of 10 in 1965. I was on a train that passed through a thousand feet below the bridge. I liked it so much that it was on my high school graduation list of places to go in the Summer of 1973. I got there again in 1995. If you ever get a chance, take the helicopter ride over the gorge. It's something you won't forget, not that driving or walking over the bridge is.

Jessie- left on my own, I doubt I've have gone across the bridge!!!
Russel- you're right! And, you must not have a "fear" of heights like I do. We were there too early to take the train ride or the aerial tram (thank goodness). I tried to get a shot looking down into the gorge but didn't have the right equipment.

Hi Cynthia- hope to have one for Speechless Sunday! Thanks for commenting
Rebecca-You've got to be familiar with the Delaware Memorial Bridge and the one that goes over the Chesapeake?! Too much for me.

Michele-Thanks Michele. And, thanks for stopping by.
Judy- Actually, it wasn't too bad once I was able to open my eyes. Didn't want to linger on it though.
