Carole - I think you should ban Craig Rutman from your posts!  LOL!!!!!!  Interesting name for a shoe store - hhmmm  It certainly looks like Hippo to me and not Flippo.....

Hi Carole, Well now the other comments have me wondering is it Hippo or Flippo, as I didn't even see the word Flippo until I read Debe's comment. Interesting?  What kind of people buy shoes at Hippo Shoes (or is it Flippo?) -LOL

I would think people would be self conscious about entering this store if they had hippo feet... most likely everything else would be hippo too!

Somehow, I see that sign as grabbing the pre-teen through 20ish group.  I'm seeing "Hippo" but it could be "Flippo."

Hi Carole-I saw Hippo shoes myself and wouldn't have thought Flippo shoes until I saw Debe comment. I guess it could be. I just thought it was because I am not a shoe person. I wear tennis shoes. Womens shoes hurt my feet too much. Very cute. Hope you are doing well. <SMILE>

Well I guess large people need shoes too - but maybe they don't want to be seen going in the door!

I like when names tell me what something is.  Hippo?  Not sure why, but at least I know they sell SHOES!!

Cynthia, I'll probably pass it again....This time I'll investigate  :)

Hannah, I'm sorry that I didn't stop in.  I didn't see Flippo (but I'm not sure how "catchy" that is, either.

Leesa, Doesn't he make you laugh???  I never know what to find after Craig has been here :)

Grace, I have the same impression....Extra, EXTRA Super Sized Feet.

Sandy, I don't know who shops there...or what sizes they serve.  I wouldn't have known it either except for the comments.

Robert, I was wondering how BIG do your feet have to be exactly?  It never occurred to me it might be Flippo :)

Caron, But who would shop there if they didn't have Hippo feet?  I don't think they would carry size 5 1/2   lol

Joan, That's a nice spin on it, I didn't either!  Maybe it's for the person who has everything...

Carole, Very Funny shot! It is definitely Hippo, the script font used could make one think otherwise. A name often says it all - so what are they trying to say?!

Hip, Hip, Hippo Ray!!!!!  Maybe they used the same internet translator that has been trying to sell me for weeks!  Hip Shoes (as in stylish) maybe, but hippo?  Great photo!

Myrl, I may always wonder if I don't pass it again.  It certainly grabbed MY attention :)

Robert, With all the great photos I never thought mine would make it!  Thank you SO much!!

Sharon, When I'm walking through the City, it's sneakers for me :)  I walk for MILES there!

Georgina, I'm now baffled with what it says.  I keep seeing Hippo (unless I squint!)

Amy, I'd take care on what type of clients I'd like to attract.  Although I must say this stood out for sure!

Kathie, That's what I see...If I find them again I'll go over and see what they're selling.

Emelyn, That's cute, maybe that should have been on their sign.  Hip, Hip HIPPO :)

Here's the worst name that I've found. Notwithstanding the fact that I don't like Japanese food, I probably would not eat at this restaurant:

Japanus

I'm pretty sure it's a combination of Japan and U.S., but upon first read, it looks vulgar at best....

Yeah, I'm gonna agree Jim's is worse than the Hippo/Flippo shoes...LOL  can't say I wouldn't shop their, but I would tear a tag out, I think...=o/

Jim, I see what you mean :)

Cheryl, I agree... I think Jim's picture beats mine. That's one interesting name :)

Olga, the name is like one of those reversible drawings...you see a tree from one point of view and a face from the other.

My feet are so swollen today, that hippo shoes would be the only ones that would fit.

That sign could be HIPPO (which is the first thing I read), but when you look at it carefully, it could be Flippo too.

Either way, though ... I wonder if the owner has never glanced at the name quickly, and read HIPPO and SAW hippo.... he could be upsetting a LARGE majority of the American population....
Maybe they are super-sized shoes, to go with the super-sized portions :)
