Oakville First Time Buyers have less time to decide on homes due to Positive Housing Outlook

Media headlines are a key contributor to consumer behavior and it sure has been one heck of a ride over the past year. It seems that the gloomy bears from earlier in the year have now come out of their dens and are more bullish on the outlook of the economy and most importantly, the housing market.

The positive headlines that we have been seeing have caused a fury of housing market activity over the past couple of months. I would say that over the past month, I have seen many homes selling in Oakville in less than 5 years and many of them have gone within the first couple of days. Clients that are pondering whether they should be buying a home they like are seeing that they the choice was already made for them by someone else making the purchase. Where buyers had the luxury of time to decide if a house was Right for them in the first half of the year, it appears this luxury has quickly passed which is much to the pleasure of sellers on the market.

I would suspect that at the close of September, we will likely see the average days on the market will have declined. If you are thinking about selling your home, this is a great time since:

  • There are many buyers looking for homes across a broad spectrum of price ranges
  • Interest rates have notched down once again which is going to fuel more home buyers in the market
  • Homes are selling quicker which means less people are going through home during the selling process.

Now is a great time to consider selling your home. If you are interested in selling your home, please contact:
