JUST RELEASED! Last 5 Homesites ever to be developed in Waterville Valley Resort, NH

Waterville Valley, NH, August 12, 2009…Waterville Valley Resort’s master developer, the Waterville Company, is developing the last single family homesites ever to be offered in the resort town. Under Waterville Valley’s Master plan, the rest of the town’s land has either already been delevoped for single family homes, or is in the White Mountain National Forest. The Waterville Company announced that the final phase of single-family homesites at the Moose Run subdivision is under construction and will become available by the end of summer 2009. The Waterville Company says the move is based on stronger than expected demand for the lots.

“Demand for Moose Run homesites has been unprecedented, and the subdivision is almost sold out,” said Jan Stearns, director of marketing for the Waterville Company. “Buyers are confident in the Waterville Valley real estate market, so we are completing street and utility construction to the last five parcels in the development.”

Moose Run is the last lower density subdivision to be developed in Waterville Valley by the resort’s master developer. Construction began in early 2005 and since then 25 lots have been sold and 10 very high quality homes have been constructed. Two new homes are currently under construction and a third will be underway shortly. Located adjacent to the resort’s 9-hole golf course and the White Mountain National Forest, Moose Run offers a convenient in-town location with easy access to the resort’s cross-country skiing and hiking trails.

The Waterville Valley Resort is one of New England’s first master planned communities. In addition to golf, Waterville Valley offers a variety of four-season recreational amenities that appeal to families with active and energetic lifestyles. World-class alpine and Nordic ski areas, award-winning tennis center, fitness center, and miles of hiking and mountain biking trails are all within walking or a short shuttle bus ride from the Moose Run development.

“Waterville Valley’s proximity to Boston and southern New Hampshire is one of its greatest assets,” according to Stearns. “Generations of vacationers and property owners have chosen Waterville Valley. They’re looking to get away from the fast-paced lifestyle, traffic and crowds. Waterville Valley offers the perfect escape.”

The pedestrian-friendly village is comprised of just 500 acres of privately owned land and is completely surrounded by nearly 700,000 acres of National Forest.

According to Waterville Company president Bill Cantlin, “There is very little private land left in Waterville Valley, and the Moose Run subdivision has proved to be very popular.”

Cantlin explained that Moose Run offers a neighborhood feel. Its central location means that homeowners can park their car and walk to the Town Square, golf course, and most of the recreational spots in Waterville Valley

“Existing homeowners recognize the value and exceptional qualities of the Moose Run homesites,” Cantlin added. “You’ll find great valley and mountain views, your choice of active village life, or the quiet and solitude of the National Forest.”
