I have learned to believe that landscaping has little value in the total home value.  Some people buy homes with no landscaping and never even notice it.

I think that a well landscaped home is important. It gives it the curb appeal that is often needed for buyers to look at the house.  I'm all for nice landscaping. It's a first impression that counts.

I agree that a garden that is well kept is part of the first impression (curb appeal). For more tips check out my better half at John Shorb Landscaping www.johnshorblandscaping.com for cool ideas. They do rooftop gardens, native gardens and very cool plantings to attract butterflies, birds, etc. to the garden.
