As fall arrives it is time to say goodbye to some of my favorite activities during the summer in Lake Norman: Farmers' Markets. Soon the canopies will be taken down all around the lake and simple signs will be put up saying "See you in the Spring!". While there will be several special weekends in Davidson for the holidays, for the most part it is time to say good bye to our farmers' markets and fresh produce stands until 2010!

Diane - what magnificent colors! Farmer's markets are great fun...I love that we have them year round year here in SoCal, altho they are better at certain times of the year. You did a great job of capturing those peppers.

I do enjoy fall but not looking forward to the cold and snow of Michigan. Our Farmers market closed last week.

Diane I too love the farm markets. In my area last year a winter market was started and it has been a great success.
