Turn your lockbox into a mini billboard

By
Real Estate Agent with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services
Here is a quick tip I use to turn my lockbox into a mini billboard. I take a vinyl cd holder and tape it to the back of a lockbox, especially in communities with open hallways and heavy foot traffic, then I place about a dozen business cards in the vinyl holder. When people walk buy who are interested in real estate they see my card and give me a call.

Great idea, but why tape it to the back of the lockbox?

Good stuff.  I have a holder slipped over the lockbox...but had not thought of this for consumers.  Thanks!

For Supra type lock boxes they sell something like this that actually helps keep the sun off the infrared eye and will keep youfrom having issues with your box. Especially worthwhile on properties where no signs are allowed.

Steven - What a good idea. I just don't see how a buyer is going to be able to see the cards if they are on the back  if the lockbox.

Back of the lockbox?  I'm not sure how that will catch anyone's attention.  Do you have the cards showing below the bottom of the lockbox our are you hoping that they turn the lockbox over to see the card?

Ok, here's my logic on the back of the lockbox. 1. the cards tend to cover the infra red sensor on the front. 2. If someone is really interested they will find them, but when I started I put them on the front and I would find that people (maybe even Realtors) would tear it off and scatter them on the ground. When I'm feeling really chipper I will take a second one and put it on the door above the handle if I think the association will let me get away with it.

Steven, that's a good idea.  I also like your video very much.  What camera do you use to make them and how do you edit them?  Thanks and have a great day.

Hi Steve ~ I was impressed when I saw a card taped to a lockbox to distinguish it from others.  This takes it several steps beyond that - love it.  And as others have said - your video is super.
