Ok, Farmtown Players, Mafia Wars Warriors and Facebook junkies.  I need your help.....Once again.

The response was so great with my Twitter cry for help blog,

http://activerain.com/blogsview/1239248/i-need-some-twitter-quick-tips-help-

I am going to try it again but this time facebook.  I know the basics, playing Bejeweled (my favorite pastime)   Logging in - no problem - Posting picture - Got it.........

The question is - drum roll please.............

How are you using it to increase your business?

What is working for you?

What's not?

Thanks

Kristin

Well there is a lot you can do.....widgets on the side....post your listings, solds, opens etc.  But I think this is mostly a social network so you need to be social.  Friend and be friends. Start with your emails looking for clients you have and are working with. Friend them and it is a great way to stay in touch and connected with them, know their interests etc...Also your picture will cycle thru their list of friends being a great basis for referrals by your past clients to their circle of friends.  Have you cycled through your emails yet looking for potential friends?  I would recommend you don't add fellow Realtors though.

If this is a duplicate I apologize...but my first comment didn't seem to take...

Jeremy,

Do you credit Facebook alone for this or is it park of the whole marketing package?

Real estate and finance are relational. One of the benefits of social media is the opportunity to interact with potential clients. I have closed several loans through Facebook contacts and Facebook referrals.

That's great!  Are you doing anything out of the ordinary on Facebook to get the business?

I think the critical element for social networking is interacting with potential clients.  My mistake has been to market aggressively, rather than to communicate and interact.  It is a tough lesson for me to learn.  It's almost like learning how to be a good listener.
