We broke ground and started construction for the new Environmental Science Center building late in June. It is exciting to watch the transformation from the old caretaker's cottage to the state-of-the-art science building that will help us provide more lessons for students in the surrounding areas. We have been grateful to the Highline School District for renting us a portion of their building at the Marine Tech Center, but it has been limiting.
There is still a need for donations. We are a 501(c)3 organizations, so any donations are deductible to the extent allowable by law. Your unrestricted donations would help the most as we still need some money to complete the Capital Campaign, and there is always a need for funds for Operations. That money pays for the programs! I have a link to the site on my active rain site, but I will put the url here, too: http://envsciencecenter.org/.
In 2008, we provided over 15,000 hours of environmental education to over 10,000 students. We continue to expand our clientele and the curricula we offer. It is a terrific organization, meeting an incredible need in the area. Your donations would be appraciated! It is possible to donate using PayPal, or a major credit card through out website, or by check.

Thank you so very much! The children of the Highline, Tukwila, Kent, and Renton school districts thank you. We also serve a number of area private schools and home schoolers.
