Holy Cow 110+ in Phoenix

Man is it hot down there. I mean it is Africa hot. Well here in Prescott the mercury is rising too. We are to hit the mid 90's. So I have a question for you as I am sitting in this open house. What do you do to keep cool in weather temps like this. I have a few suggestions and turning up the A/C doesn't count.

We go to the river and sit in the water in chairs with wet towels draped over us or get a personal mister w/pump for a little wet relief.

So what do you do?

Yesterday it was about 113 in Parker.....very hot, but you do what you have to do....show early, nap in the afternoon, and start work again after the sun is ready to go down.....oh, and always carry extra water with you.

Do you think, just maybe, that by it getting so hot so fast we might get an earlier than usual monsoon? Hope, hope? To keep cool: something to drink with lots of ice helps. And thankfully, we are still cool after the sun gets down.

Looks to keep getting hotter in the Phoenix area, Now I know why I live in the Prescott area. Smile.

I must admit that Flagstaff is nice. The Winters are colder than here. I'll stay and just visit. Smile.. I have clients that love it up there.

 Kathy

I love Parker, heck I grew up going there all the time, Used to stay at the Ah Villa camp ground and fish in the slew. There was a big fish we called lead pencil, never did catch him.  Then we started staying in the mavalle Keys ( spelt something like that) or Mike Macks place ( Arizona shores ). I still have friends with a place there.   Is Whimpey's still open. Loved there breakfast.

Leslie,

They say we should get some monsoon's this Summer. I hope so to. I just love the afternoon's when the big thunder heads build up to 60,000 feet and then just explode. The light shows and rain bursts are awesome.

Yeah this is a great place to be.

Ken - my favorite thing to do when the weather forecast is 114 for the week is to hit San Diego!!  Leaving tomorrow!!!  Our plan is to hit Sea World and spend the rest of the time on the beach, I've got to get caught up on my Harry Potter reading!!!  Life will be great this week!
