Earlier today while going from 1 appointment to the next, taking phone calls and drinking my fat flush cranberry juice, I was starting to feel a little bit hectic and thinking of all the things I "had" to do still. It was only 10am and I had showed a property, set up an appointment for Wednesday, had run to my new listing and was heading for another appointment and still had to get information on the two offers I "had" to write the day before. Monday also included talking with several leads that didn't work out and feeling like I was spinning my wheels when there were more important things I "had" to do.
Taking a minute to listen to the radio a song came on titled "Sounds like Life to Me". This was perfect for me as it reminded me how great things were going. Yesterday I was blessed with helping two families submit offers for new homes and got to be part of their dreams. Today was about helping another person buy their first home and make phone calls to guide a client that just closed through the home warranty maze. Side note ( I am not happy with the company and will not use them again) The next meeting I was going to was with clients that were also using my wife to obtain their mortgage so I would be able to see her at the meeting. How cool is that.
It had been a hectic day and a half but I thought back about Sunday. A wonderful day spent with my lovely bride. We volunteered at a local winery in the morning, then wine tasted in the early afternoon. We did do about 2 hours of work but still were together counseling our joint clients. Side note (she rocks at mortgages, call me for her number). Then we went out to dinner. What a fabulous day.
All this said and done, it reminded me to keep taking stock of how great life is. Every now and then take to minute to just breathe, reflect and enjoy how much we "get" to do and how little we really "have" to do. Oh, and also somehow I managed to talk to a few friends and see my daughter and grandson. Hmmmm
Love and light to you all
