Helen Ga Real Estate "Media Insensitivity to GA Floods"

Helen Georgia is less than 45 miles away from the devestating floods in Atlanta, we have local flooding i three counties. Our local media are reporting the tragic results, ten deaths due to the floods. But this morning I witnessed a media insensitivy that can not be ignored. ABC's Goodmorning America not only reported on the death of a mother of two returning home from her night shift job, but they actually aired the 911 tape with the frantic woman's voice and last words on it. Is this responsible journalism? I ask you to decide, I already have.

The OLD three is no longer considered Media, they are Gossip TV. If you are older than 50 think of all the news that you saw on CBS, ABC and NBC and just think how much was made up. But we believed it because there was no FOX or CNN bringing it live in the moment.

As far as the old fashioned ABC, NBC, CBS- they are now "state controlled" media. Can't trust them.

I depend on the internet.

I hear you all - and mostly agree.

I'm in that 50+ group and how I miss the likes of Walter Cronkite. He did what he could to bring us as much truth as possible but there was so much left out either due to network constraints and of course the less than 30 minutes to report didn't help either.

Networks like FOX and NN do more to give us broader perspectives on different sides of the fence but they're not very objective. Like Joyce, I therefore resort to the Internet and check a variety of resources that simply give the facts rather than imposing their analyzations and opinions on us. We're smart enough to do most of it ourself if we get the whole truth.
