The Home Builders Association of Tuscaloosa's 46th annual Parade of Homes begins today and features 49 newly constructed homes. I thought it would be fun to give an overview of some of the up and coming new features that are being added to new homes in our area.
Now bear in mind, that we're probably a few years behind some metropolitan areas in other parts of the country, but for what it's worth, here's are three things that are becoming trendy in our area:
1. Tankless hot water heater:
All Rinnai interior units utilize an exclusive cool-to-the-touch vent system that is sealed combustion and requires only one penetration through the roof or sidewall. Rinnai interior units can mount almost anywhere and can have a vent up to 41 feet long. They are designed to operate at outdoor temperatures as low as -30° F.
