Fall is in the air! Pumpkin patch events are right around the corner!! Check out this Clark County information to find some fun events for your family! Our family has the tradition of "Pumpkin Patch and Pasta" with our "Hi-Bye Friends." Our Hi-Bye friends relates to a family we adore, Mark and Lisa but we never get to see them anymore. Every year we would go to these pumpkin patches, buy vegetables, hike through the fields and pick a pumpkin or ride the hayrides, etc. Then we would go home and make Lisa's awesome pasta. She never lets me cook anymore because one time I caught my cookbook on fire while at her house!

If you have other fun local events or traditions, please share them with us by commenting below! We need your input please!

"LOVED IT!! Dress warm and bring boots if the weather's been wet. Beat the crowds by going during the week. Family farm - wonderful setup and operation. They have a pumpkin launch, straw-bale maze and mountain, corn maze, huge petting zoo, hay ride, 1 free hot drink (cider, hot chocolate, or coffee) and free bluegrass music. One free pumpkin with paid admission, with additional pumpkins available at 20 cents per pound (children under 2 get in free, but don't qualify for a free pumpkin). There are port-a-potties, and an area to wash your hands outside the petting zoo. They also have an area where you can wash your pumpkin off, so it doesn't get your car dirty. There are farm tools, machines and antique tractors (some of which kids can play on), and a huge farmer's market with fresh produce. Kids can help shuck corn and feed the chickens. This year, they've also got a "corn crib," filled a foot deep with shelled corn, for the kids to play in. " (Suggested by a visitor, ADDED: October 13, 2008)

Where are those wonderful buttons you made yesterday? Those would have been perfect for this posting! By the way, you can thank Athena who decided that it would be a good time to play that I'm up right now!

Jill, I did something new this year; I blogged about area Oktoberfest events because they are going on now.  I'm going to blog about Halloween and pumpkin patch events next week but the Oktoberfest information has been a hit!

Todd...had trouble with getting the buttons to be buttons and not html. I know I can do it, I just haven't had time to experiment. Will get it right soon! Thanks so much for your help!! Did you get a lot of comments on your "subprime" blog message?

Thanks Vic! I'm always looking for new material to send to my blog. I also send it out to my database as an email. I entitle all of my event email postings as "FUN FOR YOU" and people know to open them. Thanks for the Octoberfest hint.
