Espetus Churrascaria (Brazilian Steak House) - San Mateo, California (San Mateo County, CA)
Have you ever been to a rodizio-style Brazilian steakhouse, sometimes known as a churrascaria? I think it's one of those cool experiences that (unless you're a vegetarian!) everyone should have at least once in their lifetime.
I've been to two different rodizio-style restaurants in California...Roda Viva and Espetus Churrascaria. They typically have a buffet of salads, side dishes and a few entrees, but the highlight of the meal is when they bring out many varieties of meats, one by one, then slice and serve it to you tableside. You also have a sign that you can flip to read "Yes" (in green) to signal the servers to come to your table with more meat or "No" (in red) to pass your table if you're not ready for more. The complimentary tray of munchies they keep stocked on your table at all times are: fried polenta, fried plaintains and puffy cheese bread.
